課程概述 |
因果關係是哲學上最重要的概念之一，不僅是形上學中的重要議題，以深刻影響科學哲學、心靈哲學、及生物學哲學的發展。本課程重點在介紹因果理論在哲學中：從古希臘、中世紀、當代哲學、HUME、KANT、及邏輯經驗論的發展史。以及當代重要的因果關係理論，包含對因果概念的標準分析：如規律理論、反事實條件句理論、機率理論、及因果過程理論等。

學生在修習完本課程之後，應對因果關係理論的發展有一定程度的了解，並應具備介紹當代重要因果關係理論的能力。 |

課程要求 |
採一對一方式進行，每個星期就指定閱讀內容提出報告進行討論，並
於期末提出研究報告。
